Oia, Santorini is a dream destination but finding the right hotel can be tricky. Santo Maris Oia was the ideal stay for me because it provided a relaxing atmosphere just steps away from the caldera with the kindest staff available to help assist with any other requests I might have. From my private balcony, I could see another Greek isle in the distance and enjoy a quiet sunset if I didn’t want to be in the chaos of the caldera.
Rooms are pretty incredible. I love the white and neutral color palette. Depending on what room you select, you will have a kitchen (or mini kitchen). The sitting area is spacious so you aren’t cramped and there is plenty of space to lay your things out when trying to decide what to wear for the perfect holiday photos.
Breakfast (the most important meal of any day)… what’s not to like? They have fresh fruit, omelets, pastries, meats, cheeses, an assortment of coffees and juices. The best part is the traditional Greek dishes that are served. I enjoyed being exposed to new and delightful things.
Views from the room included another Greek Island which I forgot the name of. I was busy taking a lot of pictures like this because what else do you do when you have this background?
Don’t skip out on the spa here. I went in feeling drained from the sun at Akrotiri and came out glowing like a Greek goddess. The massage was unreal and heavenly. I fell asleep, and woke up feeling refreshed and recharged.
The pool is another way to get a refreshing break from the sun. If you time your vacation right, you can listen to a beautiful harpist play in the evenings. Breakfast and/or dinner by the pool are always a good idea!
Speaking of dinner by the pool… I did indulge in a few tasty things while listening to music one evening. I could eat this more often.
