A trip to Target is tricky. It never fails that you go in needing one or two things but leave with far more than you ever had in mind when you walked through those doors. My weakness begins in the beauty aisles. Before I even got the wild idea to start writing this blog, I was snapchatting my beauty routines and trips to Target for my girlfriends. The end-caps are a gold mine! Below are all the items I suggest buying as I get them for trips on a regular basis but also use them for “self-care Sundays.”
miss spa masks are my first choice but there aren’t that many at Target locally. Sometimes I find a few different ones at Ulta. The que bella section has a sheet mask or any mask really for whatever your needs are. If you don’t have a Target… shop the que bella website. The mask I buy over and over again is the Skin Brightening Peel-Off Mask. Do not try using this on the plane but at home (or the hotel) it is so good. I actually really enjoy peeling it off at the end.
In my post on Madrid, I shared a few of the French beauty products I look for in Europe. Target actually carries a few products by some of these same brands because we’re not all getting on a plane for micellar water. La Roche Posay and Embryolisse are just a few that I go back to. I can honestly say I compare the Amazon price and buy it at Target without feeling like I should’ve waited. Ask anyone who cares about their face and you will find that La Roche Posay has a really good SPF (wear SPF every single day!). Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè is something I bought in the full size and travel size.
Beyond the beauty aisle is the travel aisle and that is where it’s easy to go crazy. The mini bottles are adorable and I honestly get caught up in the moment thinking, “Oh, I definitely need that for my trip.”
Side Note: For all the curly girls, they carry mini bottles of natural hair products now too! I was always going to Ulta for the Deva Curl travel set but now I have options! If you are Black, African-American or mixed and have curly/natural hair, you know this is something the beauty industry has been missing for years! The 3-1-1 rule is not a game and TSA will throw your products away. It’s never happened to me but it did to my friend en route to a girls’ weekend in Miami.
