Windjammer Landing is a beautiful resort on the island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean. I wrote about my experience in St. Lucia in a previous blog post but here I am going to give you a peek inside my villa and the resort itself.
The villa I stayed in was quite welcoming. It was spacious with the most beautiful views looking out at the ocean. The hotel arranged the most adorable “welcome” message on the bed. I had also had stairs leading up to a private patio overlooking the water.
The bar and grill on the beach are great for watching the sunset and enjoying live music. I made some friends on the dance floor with a group celebrating a bachelorette party.
At 6:00 a.m., I didn’t have to compete with anyone for great photos. All the other guests were sound asleep.
Breakfast at the resort is the best. I loved the fresh juices because you know they were made from fresh fruit coming from trees on the island. Some days they may not have a juice available if that mango or whatever is not in season or there isn’t enough to make juice. Drink lots of water, as the island gets hot. Another tip: get a table by the water; you can watch boats, and cute puppies if you’re lucky. I had breakfast every single day for almost six days. It was heaven.
Mornings on the beach were calm, probably because I ate breakfast while most guests were still sleeping. I loved watching the sun rising over the villas. The hammocks were my favorite place to just relax and unwind.
When you aren’t eating or playing at the beach, take walk around the resort. You’ll get some exercise and find some neat walkways.
