“Do you have an EpiPen with you,” the flight attendant asked me. You always hear the travel advice about how to pack light. Well, that’s all fine and dandy but some things cannot be left at home.
I had the worst allergic reaction in Morocco last summer. I packed absolutely no medicine so I was in for a real adventure. Maybe I’m too vain… or it’s self-preservation but I’ll just say the rest of my days in Marrakech and Casablanca were rough.
Following that, I realized I must have a ziplock bag of everything from Advil and migraine prescriptions to two EpiPens. What I didn’t know… TSA or the international equivalents would flag my carry-on every single time. I can’t count how many airports I’ve been through since then, but one would think an EpiPen would be recognizable by now.
