Whether I’m always on the go or on holiday, beauty and skincare are important parts of the packing process. Ideally, I don’t want to be weighed down with a beauty counter and I certainly don’t need that clogging my pores. So what’s the best approach for a traveler?
Start with skincare and pack your basics. Travel size face wash and moisturizer are the go-to products for any season. Micellar water and cotton balls are really easy if you’re on a big adventure and don’t have quick access to water and a wash cloth. If you have the space and time, add in an oil.
As far as makeup is concerned, I’m a “less is more” lady. Starting with a clean base following the steps above, I can add mascara, lipstick/lipgloss (depending on preference) and Glossier Boy Brow and be completely finished. Depending on my mood, I’ll add eyeliner.
The fewest amount of products I can add into a carry-on, the better. There will always be women on the other end of the spectrum but if you can survive with the basics, this will get you started and if you’re traveling somewhere new, try their local products! I have discovered all sorts of brands while traveling abroad.
