Haywire knows how to get down in the kitchen and they have a bakery to boot! It’s no secret I love a good cocktail with my meal but sometimes I enjoy a little bit of country music too, and Haywire did not disappoint.
First things first… it’s hot as hell (or I suspect anyway) in Texas because we’re a few days away from the start of summer. Any excuse to cool down with sangria or an Aperol spritz and I’m game. At Haywire, they’re seasonal so I’ll just say, try it and you won’t be disappointed.
If you’ve been reading in the last year, you know I don’t count calories. I’ll workout and repent my sins later. With that being said, the onion rings are soooo good!
I mean, look at that! They turned me into a full-fledged food photographer. I was moving chairs around as if they were ballerinas and I was Degas. The best part… whatever that sauce was, it’s the most amazing dipping sauce you’ll eat all summer.
In typical fashion, I saw avocado in the salad and ordered. That’s super basic but I am not ashamed to admit it.
There is so much goodness in it and I’m not a fan of blue cheese but I ate this anyway. It was flavorful and you can choose between grilled or fried chicken. I clearly went grilled.
The bakery. Your options are mouthwatering! I selected chocolate cake. I didn’t regret it.
The interior layout is pretty nice if you want to meet up with friends or have a quiet date. It’s casual and not too fancy.
